I Know a Place is built on a simple premise: beautiful words in beautiful places. We run pop-up performances that bring poetry and prose to unexpected and overlooked spaces.

Each venue begins as a secret. In the weeks before an event, we release a trail of clues, finally revealing the location just a few days beforehand. Our aim is to bring the same sense of discovery and spontaneity to the spoken word that has helped Bristol’s underground music and street art scenes to thrive.
